Safety is Rev Energy’s top priority

Rev Energy has achieved recognition with safety authorities such as ENFORM, COR, ISN, COMPLY WORKS, IRP 16 and HCA (Heavy Construction Association).

At Rev Energy,  Health and Safety is paramount.

As part of Rev Energy Services Ltd.’s pre-employment requirements and to comply with industry standards, Rev Energy’s safety department provides thorough safety orientations to all workers, makes sure all workers have the proper safety training certification, and requires all workers to pass a Drug and Alcohol test before heading out to work.

Rev Energy has a fully implemented Health and Safety Management System. We are members with ISN and Comply Works. As well, Rev Energy is COR certified.

COMPANY HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Rev Energy Services Ltd management and employees are fully committed to conducting its activities in a manner that will safeguard the health and safety of its employees, contractors, visitors (including government agencies), the public, and protect the environment. Worker safety and environmental protection are integral parts of our Company’s policy. The company has identified three major goals and objectives related to people, equipment and compliance.

  • Employee: Zero injuries, accidents, and workplace illnesses.
  • Equipment: Consistent reporting of incidents, accidents, and near misses with zero equipment damage.
  • Compliance: 100% compliance with legislative and industry standards.

 

To fulfill our company goals and objectives management will ensure proper budgetary resources are available to meet our safety objective, including; providing proper supervision, orientations, trainings, develop and maintain safe work procedures and processes, inspections, maintenance, hazard identification, investigate accidents and incidents and ensure open communication among all levels of employees.

Management and Supervisors are responsible for; providing and maintaining a safe work place by assessing hazards and implementing proper procedures, training programs and accessing worker competency, hold all employees accountable for their safety responsibilities, inspect and ensure workplaces and equipment are maintained to industry and legislative requirements and manufacturing specification, investigate all deficiencies reported to ensure all corrective actions have been taken, respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and safety incidents in order to minimize the impact on employees, the public, the environment and property.

All employees and contract workers have a responsibility to; perform their tasks in a safe manner, following company rules, safe work practices and procedures, use safety controls provided, report unsafe work conditions immediately to the supervisor, participate in safety meetings to assist in identifying hazards and to contribute to a positive safety climate in the company.

Everyone has the right and responsibility to refuse to do work when they believe unsafe conditions exist. Workers also have the right to participate in safety issues and the right to know the hazards they may encounter in their work. Work refusals will be investigated immediately by, manager, supervisor and or OHS Committee members.

Employees at every level, including management, supervisors, safety coordinator are responsible and accountable for the company’s overall safety initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, every day, in every job is necessary for the safety among all workers on the job site. 

The safety information in this policy does not take precedence over applicable government legislation. All employees are required to be familiar with government legislation requirements pertaining to their scope of work.
